Family Concert: The Lost Key // Avain hukassa
Marzi Nyman and narrator Hanna Vahtikari lead the search for a missing key in Pori Sinfonietta’s family concert, based on Sanna Mander’s children’s book.
‘I lost my key somewhere in this house! It could be here or there, under a cake or on top of a cupboard! Could you help me just a little and look for the key?’
In Pori Sinfonietta’s joyful and visually enhanced children’s concert, the central mystery is a missing key. The playfully rhymed search takes us into every apartment in an apartment building while introducing us to its colourful residents.
Will the key be found among Tim’s Inherited Trumpet, in the belongings of Maija and Her Seven Dads, or perhaps in the attic, where an enchanted carousel spins every evening? But remember, don’t make Erkki angry!
The concert is based on Sanna Mander’s Finlandia Prize-winning children’s book Avain hukassa. The music has been composed by the versatile musician Marzi Nyman, and the beloved Hanna Vahtikari serves as narrator. Marzi Nyman conducts the concert and also sings and plays guitar in the performance.
Recommended for ages 4 and up, but open to audiences of all ages. Duration approximately 40 minutes.
Booster cushions for young children are available at Promenade Hall, but you are also welcome to bring your own booster seat from home!
NOTE! The concert is narrated IN FINNISH.
Before the concert, Palmgren Conservatory students will perform Aulasoitto in the foyer of Promenade Hall. It begins at 17.30.
