Baritone Aarne Pelkonen is the soloist in Pori Sinfonietta’s Christmas Concert featuring traditional Christmas songs and music by Sibelius.
The star of Pori Sinfonietta’s Christmas Concert is baritone Aarne Pelkonen, originally from Rauma, whose voice has captivated audiences in the worlds of opera and lieder as well as on the television programme Tähdet, tähdet. At Central Pori Church, audience will hear beloved Christmas songs performed by Aarne and Pori Sinfonietta. The concert is conducted by Chief Conductor Erkki Lasonpalo. The programme also includes Jean Sibelius’s beloved suite "The Trees" in an orchestral version.
