Finnish popular music legend Pepe Willberg and Pori Sinfonietta present the most spectacular entertainment concert of the pre-Christmas season, featuring Pepe’s greatest hits in symphonic orchestra arrangements.
Elämältä kaiken sain, Rööperiin, Saat miehen kyyneliin, Aamu, Sinua sinua rakastan… Pepe Willberg, who began his musical career in the early 1960s, has enough beloved songs in his repertoire for an entire evening of music. At the same time, this entertaining concert celebrates Pepe’s long career and his upcoming 80th birthday in December.
Born in Turku on 17 December 1946, Pepe Willberg is a singer and composer loved by Finnish audiences. He began his musical career in the early 1960s as the rhythm guitarist of The Islanders and later performed as the lead vocalist of groups including Jormas and Pepe & Paradise, as well as a solo artist. Willberg has also appeared with ensembles such as Mestarit and Pop Tenors and as a soloist with numerous military bands and city orchestras.
In addition to evergreen hits, Pori Sinfonietta and Pepe will treat the audience to magnificent tenor arias that continue to showcase the remarkable flexibility and beauty of his voice.
