De Se Attitude | Pori Art Museum

The production of knowledge as a feminist artistic process is the central question of the exhibition.

The works in the exhibition De Se Attitude explore dimensions related to places, personal documents, and forms of work, society, and appreciation. The production of knowledge as a feminist artistic process is the central question of the exhibition.

The exhibition features works by artists Jaana Kokko, Ghislaine Leung, Charlotte Posenenske, Salla Tykkä, and Mare Vint. Through the documentation of Felix Gonzalez-Torres’ work, a case study from the exhibition history of Pori Art Museum is highlighted and an aspect of the framework that defines the conditions for the existence of a work of art is opened up. New works are also being created for the exhibition. Artists Mia Wennerstrand and Melanie Jame Wolf are working together on the work. Artist Anni Puolakka is working in collaboration with curator and researcher Helen Kaplinsky. The exhibition is curated by Miina Hujala, who is currently working on her doctoral dissertation at the University of the Arts Helsinki on issues of art presentation.
